“Forever” vs one year: what Bitsgap actually pays
Bitsgap’s affiliate landing page says that once someone signs up through your link, they’re “automatically assigned to your affiliate account forever.” That sentence is true, but it answers a different question from the one most affiliates ask. The Bitsgap Affiliate Program Agreement (§1.5) says you’re entitled to commissions “for a term of one (1) year from the first purchase.”
So there are two clocks:
- The assignment clock never stops. The user stays tied to your account, and no other affiliate can take them over once they’ve registered.
- The commission clock starts on the user’s first purchase and runs for twelve months. After that, renewals earn you nothing.
Read together, Bitsgap’s offer is a 30% revenue share on subscriptions, capped at one year per paying user. It’s not a lifetime commissionLifetime commission You keep earning from a referred user for as long as they stay active, with no end date written into the deal. More, and any income projection you build should assume the money from each customer stops after month twelve.
Bitsgap sells subscriptions to its trading bots and terminal. You don't earn on your referrals' trading — you earn 30% of what they pay Bitsgap for a plan, during the first year after they start paying.
How the Bitsgap commission is calculated
The rate is flat: 30% of the amount Bitsgap receives from every purchase, after VAT (§3.1). There are no tiers, no volume thresholds and no bonus levels. What varies is when you get the money, and that depends on the plan your referral picks.
| Referral buys | How your 30% is credited | Example: €100 net purchase |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly plan | In full, each time they pay | €30 per monthly payment |
| 6-month plan | Equal monthly instalments | €5 a month for 6 months |
| 12-month plan | Equal monthly instalments | €2.50 a month for 12 months |
The €100 figure is an illustration, not a Bitsgap price. The point is the shape: annual-plan buyers are worth the same 30% to you, but you collect it slowly. If a referral buys a 12-month plan on day one, you receive the commission across the whole commission year — and you’re relying on them not to request a refund partway through.
Refunds, chargebacks and clawbacks
If all of a user’s payments are refunded, charged back or reversed, you get no commission on them. Partial refunds or chargebacks are deducted from your balance (§3.2–3.3). Bitsgap can also claw back commissions already paid if you breach the terms (§2.3). Instalment payouts on longer plans partly protect Bitsgap from refunds, which is one reason they exist.
The edge case nobody explains
The agreement doesn’t spell out what happens when a referral buys a 6- or 12-month plan late in the commission year — say, in month eleven. Strictly read, the purchase falls within the one-year term, but its instalments would stretch past it. Bitsgap doesn’t say whether those later instalments are still paid. If annual-plan upgrades are a big part of your audience’s behaviour, ask support in writing.
What a referral is worth over time
Think of each paying user as a twelve-month annuity. A user on a monthly plan who pays a hypothetical €100 net every month earns you €30 a month, or €360 for the year. From month thirteen, they still use Bitsgap, still sit in your dashboard as “Converted” — and earn you €0.
Compare that with the subscription bots in the same trading bots category. Coinrule pays 25–30% of payments on a lifetime basis; Cryptohopper pays 10–15% recurring for as long as the user stays subscribed. Bitsgap’s 30% is the highest of the three in year one, and the lowest from year two onward. Which is better depends on your churn: if your referrals typically cancel within a year anyway, the cap barely matters. If you attract long-term bot users, a lifetime program wins. Our revenue share vs CPA guide walks through that calculation.
The landing page also shows an “average” of 1,500 USDT a month based on average affiliate performance. Bitsgap doesn’t explain how that average is calculated, so treat it as marketing, not a forecast.
How to join the Bitsgap affiliate program
- Create a Bitsgap account. There's no separate application and no published audience requirement — the program is self-serve.
- Open the affiliate section. Your affiliate link and dashboard sit inside your Bitsgap account.
- Read the agreement once. It's short and specific; the rules on trademarks, self-referrals and households are where most affiliates trip up.
- Share your link. A website, blog, social account or YouTube channel is enough. Visitors from Russia and Belarus aren't accepted.
- Withdraw in USDT. Once your balance reaches 25, request a payout to a TRC-20 address. You can request again every 14 business days.
Tracking: a 30-day, last-click cookie
Visitors have 30 days after clicking your link to register for the accounts to be linked (§1.4). The cookieCookie life How long after a click the program still credits you if the visitor signs up or buys. A 30-day cookie gives the user 30 days to convert. More renews each time they visit through your link — but if they click another affiliate’s link during that window, the newer click wins. That’s standard last-click attributionLast click An attribution rule where the affiliate whose link was clicked last before the conversion gets the full commission. More, and it means comparison sites and coupon pages that a reader visits after your review can take the referral.
The dashboard is simple. For each referred user you see a partially masked email, sign-up date, user ID, the registration link they used and a status: Free, Trial or Converted (paid at least once). There’s no mention of sub-IDsSubID An extra label you add to your affiliate link to record where a click came from — a page, banner, ad or Telegram post. More or postbackPostback A server-to-server message the program sends to your tracker when a conversion happens, so you see sign-ups and deposits as they occur. More URLs. If you want channel-level data, use separate landing pages and your own analytics; our tracking and sub-ID guide explains the setup.
Getting paid: EUR in, USDT out
Bitsgap calculates commissions in EUR and pays them in USDTUSDT Tether, the largest dollar-pegged stablecoin. Many crypto affiliate programs pay commissions in USDT. More on the TRC-20 network, converted at the exchange rate on the payment date. Withdrawals can be requested once every 14 business days and are processed within up to 21 days. Your first withdrawal is possible 14 business days after a referral’s first subscription payment.
Two practical notes. First, the minimum is listed as 25 USD in the agreement and €25 on the landing page; since your balance is held in EUR, plan on the higher of the two. Second, the gap between a referral paying and the money reaching your wallet can easily be a month or more, given the 14-business-day cycle plus up to 21 days of processing. The agreement names USDT on TRC-20 as the only payout method, so there’s no bank transfer or PayPal option.
Traffic rules: what gets Bitsgap affiliates terminated
The agreement and landing page together give a clearer list than most bot platforms publish.
Allowed: SEO and content sites, YouTube, social media, and email to your own opted-in list. Section 4.1 of the agreement allows promotion by any method that doesn’t mislead visitors.
Banned:
- Bidding on Bitsgap trademarks or keywords, including misspellings — a full brand-biddingBrand bidding Buying search ads on a brand's own name, such as 'Bitget login'. Most crypto programs ban it and can void your commissions. More ban.
- Bitsgap’s marks in domain names, or copying Bitsgap’s look and feel.
- Spam, cookie stuffing and false or misleading claims, including implying Bitsgap endorses you.
- Self-referrals, multiple affiliate accounts and commission on accounts that share your IP, device or household. Relatives can use Bitsgap, but you won’t earn on them.
- Promoting to users who would breach Bitsgap’s own terms, which includes the Russia and Belarus exclusion.
Either side can end the agreement with 7 days’ written notice, and Bitsgap can terminate immediately for fraud, abuse or uncured breaches. On termination, you must remove your links.
"Misleading claims" is the rule bot affiliates break most often. Screenshots of a grid bot's best week, "passive income" headlines and profit promises are exactly what the agreement prohibits — and they're also a regulatory risk. Show realistic results, including losing periods, and add a risk note.
Who the Bitsgap affiliate program suits
It’s a good fit for trading tutorial creators who demonstrate grid and DCA bots and attract readers ready to pay for a plan. It also works for comparison sites in the bot niche, where a flat 30% with no tiers is easy to model. Newer affiliates benefit too: there’s no application, no follower minimum and a low 25 withdrawal threshold.
It’s a weaker fit if your audience keeps bot subscriptions for years — a lifetime program like Coinrule’s will out-earn it from year two. It’s also wrong for anyone whose model relies on brand-keyword PPC, and for audiences concentrated in Russia or Belarus.
Conversion tips for Bitsgap referrals
Bitsgap gives new users a 7-day trial on the PRO plan, and your dashboard shows who’s in Trial. That’s your conversion window. A follow-up email or a short “set up your first grid botGrid bot A trading bot that places a ladder of buy and sell orders across a price range, aiming to profit from small moves up and down. More in ten minutes” video timed for days two to five of the trial turns trials into paid plans far better than more top-of-funnel content.
Because the cookie is last-click, put your link where the decision happens: inside tutorials, setup guides and bot-settings walkthroughs, not only in a review header. And since you’re paid only for twelve months per user, volume of new paying users matters more than retention. A content calendar that keeps attracting first-time bot users — beginner explainers, exchange-specific bot guides, DCA botDCA bot A bot that buys a coin in regular portions, or adds to a position as the price drops, to average out the entry price. More comparisons — fits this program better than deep-dive content aimed at existing users. Our crypto affiliate website guide covers how to structure that kind of site.
Alternatives to compare
- Coinrule — 25–30% of every payment on a lifetime basis, plus a 5% bonus above $2,500 a month.
- Cryptohopper — 10–15% recurring while the user stays subscribed, $75 minimum payout.
- Pionex — an exchange with built-in bots, paying 20% of spot and 15% of futures fees for 365 days.
- 3Commas — last published terms paid 30–45% plus per-user bonuses, but the program’s status is unclear.
Verdict on the Bitsgap affiliate program
Bitsgap runs one of the clearer affiliate agreements in the bot category: a flat 30%, a written 30-day cookie, a low withdrawal threshold and a specific list of what’s banned. The catch is the one its landing page talks around — commissions stop one year after each user’s first purchase, even though the user stays “yours” forever. If your referrals churn within a year, that’s a non-issue and the 30% compares well. If they stay for years, plan your income on twelve months per customer and compare it against a lifetime program before you commit.
