Bitpanda is a different animal from the futures exchanges that dominate crypto affiliate lists. It’s a Vienna-based retail broker where people buy crypto, stocks and ETFs, and precious metals, usually to hold rather than trade daily. The affiliate program reflects that: a modest revenue share, a classic 30-day cookie, monthly payouts through an affiliate-networkAffiliate network A platform that connects many advertisers with many affiliates and handles tracking, reporting and payouts in one account. More, and rules shaped by European regulation. If you run a personal-finance site or an investing channel in Europe, it can fit better than a 50% futures deal your readers will never use.
How Bitpanda’s revenue share is calculated
The headline is “up to 20% revenue share for every referred customer”. Two details on the official affiliate page change how you should read it.
First, your percentage depends on the total net revenue all your referrals generate per month, not on each user separately. Your rate is a pooled number: a month with a few big investors can lift the rate you earn on everyone.
Second, Bitpanda offers different payouts by traffic source, including CPACPA A fixed one-time payment you earn when a referred user completes a set action, such as passing KYC or making a first deposit. More and revenue-share options. CPA amounts aren’t published, so if you run a high-volume comparison site or a review channel, ask the Affiliate Manager which model they’d offer your traffic. Our CPA vs RevShare vs hybrid guide explains how to compare an unknown CPA against a capped revenue share.
"Up to 20%" is the top of a sliding scale. A small site referring a handful of investors a month should expect a lower rate, and the scale's thresholds aren't public.
What you can promote
The product range is wider than at most crypto programs: cryptocurrencies, Bitpanda crypto indices (baskets of coins bought as one product), stocks and ETFs, and precious metals. That breadth is useful for content: one broker review can cover a reader’s first Bitcoin purchase, their ETF savings plan and a small gold position. Just remember the country rules below, because not every product can be promoted everywhere, and revenue from a product that’s restricted in the reader’s country isn’t paid.
Why “a limited period” matters more than the percentage
Bitpanda’s FAQ says commission is paid “for a limited amount of time”. The exact length isn’t disclosed publicly. It sits in the program terms you accept inside Impact.
That changes the economics compared with a lifetime-commissionLifetime commission You keep earning from a referred user for as long as they stay active, with no end date written into the deal. More offer. A Bitpanda customer who invests steadily for years earns you commission only during the window. So the value of each referral is front-loaded, and the program rewards volume of new customers over loyalty of old ones. Read the duration clause before you decide whether Bitpanda gets a dedicated review on your site or a line in a comparison table.
Bitpanda's standalone affiliate terms page is currently not accessible. The current terms, including commission duration and payment details, are shown in Impact after you accept them. Third-party pages quote a payout threshold, but Bitpanda doesn't publish a minimum payout.
Country rules you have to design around
European regulation shapes this program more than any commission number does. Before writing a word, check your audience against these rules:
| Situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| Your reader lives in Germany | You can’t refer them as a new user |
| You live in Germany | You can join, but only refer users outside Germany |
| You live in the Netherlands | Affiliates resident there aren’t accepted |
| You promote Bitpanda Stocks to readers in Spain | Not allowed; income on that product isn’t paid |
| You live in a prohibited territory | Not accepted (list on the affiliate page) |
The prohibited list includes Russia, Belarus, the Philippines, Pakistan, Iran, North Korea, Cuba, Syria, Venezuela, the US Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam and about 30 more territories. The Spain example generalizes: if a product can’t legally be promoted in a country, revenue from it isn’t paid even when the user signs up through you. Write country-specific content about the products available there, not generic “buy stocks and crypto on Bitpanda” pages. Our compliance guide covers geoGEO The country your traffic comes from. Offers, payouts and legal rules all depend on the GEO. More targeting in more depth.
How to join the Bitpanda affiliate program on Impact
You apply on Impact, not on Bitpanda’s site, and a human reviews your application.
- Open a Bitpanda user account. Use the same email address you'll use for the affiliate account. Bitpanda's help center lists this as a requirement.
- Click "Apply now". The button on the affiliate page opens Bitpanda's campaign sign-up on Impact. If you don't have an Impact account yet, you'll create one there.
- Submit the exact promotion link. Bitpanda asks for the specific URL or channel where you'll promote it. A website isn't mandatory: Facebook, X, YouTube or any channel where you can prove reach is accepted.
- Wait for the Affiliate Manager. Your application is reviewed manually, and you're notified through Impact.
- Accept the terms and get your links. Read the duration and payment clauses, then grab your tracking links and creatives.
Tracking and payouts
Tracking runs through Impact with server-to-server trackingS2S tracking Tracking where conversions are reported directly between servers rather than through the user's browser, so blockers can't lose them. More and a 30-day cookieCookie life How long after a click the program still credits you if the visitor signs up or buys. A 30-day cookie gives the user 30 days to convert. More. Thirty days gives readers time to compare brokers before signing up. Unlike many exchange programs, you aren’t relying on a user remembering a referral-codeReferral code A short code a new user enters at sign-up that permanently links their account to you, even if they never click your link. More: the click is what counts. Impact’s dashboard gives you tracking links, creatives, and performance and commission reports. Bitpanda adds an affiliate newsletter with tips and promises personal support.
Commission for each calendar month is paid before the end of the following month. So a customer who joins early in a month may take close to eight weeks to show up as cash. Where that cash lands has shifted: the current affiliate page says payouts go to your Impact account, with payment and invoicing details visible after you accept the terms. An older help-center FAQ says commission goes to your Bitpanda fiat wallet. Check the version inside Impact when you join. A minimum payout isn’t published.

Traffic: no PPC, and content does the work
Bitpanda bans pay-per-clickPPC Paid ads where you pay each time someone clicks, like Google or Bing search ads. Crypto ads face strict platform rules. More search engine advertising outright, not just brand bidding. That removes Google and Bing ads entirely, so your traffic has to come from SEOSEO Search engine optimization: earning free, organic visitors from Google by publishing pages that rank for what people search. More, social and video. Accepted channels include websites and SEO content, Facebook, X, YouTube and any channel where you can prove reach.
What converts for a broker like this is different from futures content:
- Country-specific “how to invest” guides. “How to buy ETFs in Austria” or “buying gold online in Italy” match how Bitpanda customers search, and let you stick to products allowed in that country.
- Comparison tables with fees in euros. European investors compare brokers on cost. Pair Bitpanda with alternatives honestly, since a reader who picks another broker today might come back within the 30-day window.
- Long-term framing. Bitpanda’s users buy and hold. Content about monthly savings plans and diversification fits better than trading signals.
- Clear risk wording. Crypto prices swing hard, and investors in stocks and metals can lose money too. Say so without hedging every sentence.

Tell-a-Friend vs the affiliate program
Bitpanda runs a consumer referral scheme called Tell-a-Friend, and it’s mutually exclusive with the affiliate program. Tell-a-Friend is for verified users: both you and your friend earn stepped rewards, starting at €5 each once the friend invests €500 in crypto or Bitpanda crypto indices, rising to a joint €200 (€100 each). Rewards land in the fiat wallet. It isn’t available in the UK.
Tell-a-Friend has one advantage: your friend gets a bonus too, which is an easy sell. Affiliate links don’t come with a disclosed user bonus. But the affiliate program pays a percentage of revenue rather than a fixed reward, and it’s built for scale. If you’ll refer a few people a year, use Tell-a-Friend. If you publish content, apply for the affiliate program. Our crypto referral programs overview compares the two models across brands.
Who should promote Bitpanda
Good fit: European personal-finance blogs, investing YouTube channels and newsletters whose readers buy and hold crypto, ETFs or gold, especially in countries where the full product range is available.
Poor fit: German-audience sites (you can’t refer German residents), Dutch-resident affiliates (not accepted), PPC buyers, and futures-trading communities that want leverage and daily payouts.
Alternatives to compare
For another European platform, look at Bitvavo’s affiliate program, another platform built for European retail users. Coinbase and Kraken are the large-brand comparisons for retail investors, each with different program terms. If your readers just want to buy crypto with a card, Coinmama is a simpler offer. The exchanges category lists them side by side.
Verdict
Bitpanda is a solid choice for European content creators with investing audiences: a 30-day cookie, server-to-server tracking on Impact, a manual application review, and a multi-asset product range that crypto-only exchanges can’t match. The trade-offs are clear. Revenue share tops out at 20% and runs only for a limited period, the public terms page is unavailable, PPC is banned and Germany is off-limits for referrals. Treat it as a steady earner inside investing content, not a futures-style jackpot.
