- Headline rates of 50–70% are usually the top tier: Bitget's 50% needs 100 trading users and 150,000,000 USDT of monthly volume, while its activated LV1 rate is 40%.
- Duration beats percentage: in our illustrative example, a 30% lifetime deal pays $288 over two years, while 50% for three months pays $60 on the same trader.
- Most programs pay on net fees, so bonuses, vouchers and any cashback you give referees shrink the base before your rate applies.
- For recurring income outside exchanges, CoinLedger pays 25% on every yearly tax report and Coinrule 25–30% on subscriptions for life.
What “highest paying” means for a crypto affiliate program
Every crypto affiliate program page leads with one number. MEXC says up to 70%. KuCoin says up to 60%. Bitget, BloFin, OKX and Binance say up to 50%. BitMart even advertises 100%. Those numbers are real, but each one is the top of a range, calculated on a specific base, for a specific period, under specific conditions.
The programs in the table above are the ones in our catalog with the strongest published terms for revenue share that keeps paying: a high rate, a long or lifetime commissionLifetime commission You keep earning from a referred user for as long as they stay active, with no end date written into the deal. More, or both. They are ordered by headline rate and commission duration first, then flat-rate and subscription programs, and the sections below explain what each number is worth in practice.
Why the headline commission rate is misleading
A crypto exchange RevShare is a share of the trading feesTrading fees What an exchange charges per trade, usually a small percentage of the trade size. Most exchange affiliate commissions are a share of these fees. More your referrals pay. Four things sit between that headline and your payout: the fee base, the duration, the tier and the caps. Change any one of them and a “70% program” can pay less than a “30% program”.
The fee base: net fees, not gross fees
Almost every exchange pays on net fees. Bybit calls its base “trading fee profit”: trading fees minus market-maker rebates minus bonuses and coupons. MEXC excludes API trades and fees paid with futures bonuses. BloFin subtracts bonuses, vouchers and discounts and ignores zero-fee pairs. OKX pays nothing when invitees use rebate cards, futures credits or contract vouchers.
Then there is the rebateRebate A share of trading fees paid back to someone — to you as the referrer, or passed on to the user as a discount. Many exchanges call commission a rebate. More you give away. BloFin lets you pass 0–20% of fees back to referees as cashback, and the cashback comes out of your share.
Here is an illustrative example. A referred futures trader pays $200 in fees this month, and $40 of that was paid with a futures bonus.
Same trader, same headline rate, and you earn 36% less than the naive calculation. Exchanges that run frequent bonus campaigns can shrink the base further.
Duration: how long the commission runs
Duration often matters more than the rate. Coinbase pays 50% of fees, but only for the first three months after sign-up. KuCoin’s regular referral program pays 25–35% for 365 days. CEX.IO pays a flat 30% for the lifetime of the referred account.
Take one trader who pays $40 a month in fees and stays active for 24 months (an illustrative assumption):
| Deal | Rate × period | Earned over 24 months |
|---|---|---|
| Coinbase-style | 50% for 3 months | $60 |
| KuCoin referral at base rate | 25% for 365 days | $120 |
| CEX.IO lifetime | 30% for 24 months and beyond | $288 |
The lowest rate pays almost five times more than the highest one, and it keeps paying in year three. Real traders churn, so run your own retention numbers; our CPA vs RevShare vs Hybrid guide shows how retention moves the result. “Lifetime” also has fine print: Bybit can end the link after 180 days without trading, and Binance stops spot commission once a referee reaches VIP 3.
Tiers: the rate you can actually hold
Most “up to” numbers are a commission tierCommission tier A level in a program's rate table. You move to a higher tier, and a higher percentage, by bringing more users, volume or revenue. More you have to reach and keep. Bitget is the clearest example because it publishes every threshold:
- LV1, 40%: complete identity verification and reach 10,000 USDT of invitee volume in any 30 days.
- LV2, 45%: at least 50 trading users and 30,000,000 USDT of monthly volume.
- LV3, 50%: at least 100 trading users and 150,000,000 USDT of monthly volume.
A site with 40 active traders sits at 40%, whatever the landing page says. The upside is that Bitget does not downgrade activated LV1 affiliates while their verification stays active.
KuCoin reassesses every quarter: 40% needs 5 valid invitees or 500,000 USDT, 50% needs 20 invitees and 2,000,000 USDT, and 60% needs 100 invitees and 20,000,000 USDT. Miss LV1 two quarters in a row and you drop to a 15% basic rate. BloFin drops affiliates who fail its Lvl 1 assessment to the standard 30% user rate for new invitees. MEXC’s 70% combines direct and 10% sub-affiliateSub-affiliate An affiliate you recruit into a program. You earn an extra commission on what they bring in, on top of your own direct referrals. More commission, and its Level 2 requires holding MX tokens (2,000 MX plus 5 qualifying referrals, or 20,000 MX alone), which adds token price risk to your costs.
Caps and limits hiding behind the percentage
Caps rarely appear in the headline. Bybit caps total rebates on VIP clients at 50%. YouHodler's 20% RevShare stops at $400 per user. Koinly pays 20% per sale but no more than $150 per order. BitMart's 100% tier applies for the first 6 months, then drops to 60%. Binance's futures tier 0 is limited to one year after the referee opens a futures account.
A cap is not automatically bad. YouHodler’s $400 cap only bites on heavy users, and most referrals never reach it. But if your audience is high-volume traders, a cap per user or per client tier can cost you more than a few percentage points of rate.
The highest-paying crypto exchange affiliate programs
These are the programs in the table, with the terms that decide what you take home. Follow the links for full reviews.
MEXC pays up to 70% combined referral and sub-affiliate commission on spot and futures for the lifetime of the referred account, settled daily at 00:00 UTC. The default is 50% if you don’t meet upgrade requirements, and you can share up to 20% with referees.
WEEX advertises up to 70% on direct referrals plus up to 10% on sub-affiliates across futures, spot and copy trading, paid daily. Tier thresholds are custom, and the terms let WEEX adjust ratios at its discretion.
KuCoin pays 40–60% for the lifetime of the account once you pass the quarterly review, with the same rate on spot and futures. Broker-strategy trades split the fee 50/50 with the broker before your rate applies.
Bitget pays 40–50% for the lifetime of the referred account, credited daily, with the published thresholds above. The activated 40% is the realistic rate for most sites.
BloFin pays 40–50% lifetime on futures and spot, settled hourly in USDT, but the lifetime period depends on passing the 3-month assessment (1,000,000 USDT and 10 traders for Lvl 1).
OKX starts affiliates at 30% and upgrades monthly up to 50%, with a 5-month level-protection period for new affiliates. Commissions arrive in USDT within one to two hours of the trade.
Binance runs quarterly tiers: spot from 20% to 50%, futures from 10% to 50%. Affiliate status requires an audience threshold (for example 5,000+ followers) or Tier 1 in its evaluation program.
Bybit negotiates each affiliate’s rate privately, pays for the lifetime of the account with daily payouts, and caps total rebates on VIP clients at 50%.
Programs with CPA or flat lifetime rates
PrimeXBT is the main exception to RevShare-only exchange deals. Its RevShare runs from 35% (Bronze) to 55% (Elite, at $5,000 of rolling 30-day revenue and 200 active clients), calculated only on closed positions. The alternative is a one-time CPACPA A fixed one-time payment you earn when a referred user completes a set action, such as passing KYC or making a first deposit. More of up to $1,500, set by the client’s first-deposit size and country.
CEX.IO is the opposite of a tiered deal: a flat 30% of referred users’ trading fees for the lifetime of the account, with no tiers to chase. Rewards are valued in USDC at the moment of the trade and credited 30–45 days later after a compliance review. It suits smaller sites that would sit on a bottom tier elsewhere.
Big headline numbers we left out of the table
Some of the highest rates in crypto affiliate marketing come with the least published detail, so we keep them out of the ranking until the terms are clearer.
Gate advertises long-term affiliate rebates of up to 80%, but publishes no tier table, payout schedule or minimum payout. BitMart’s 100% applies only to its Influence tier, which BitMart grants by selection, and only for the first 6 months, after which it falls to 60%; its entry tier pays 40% on spot. HTX lists up to 50% on spot and 60% on futures with rates reassessed every 3 months, while its payout terms are not disclosed. Phemex ties its 30–60% rate to holdings of its vePT token, which means part of your rate depends on a token position.
None of these is a red flag on its own. But if you can’t model what you’ll earn at your traffic level, you can’t compare the offer, so ask the affiliate manager for the full tier table in writing before you build content around it.
Best recurring commission programs outside exchanges
If your audience buys software rather than trading volume, recurring commissionRecurring commission A commission paid again every time a referred customer renews a subscription — typical for trading bots and crypto tax software. More on subscriptions is the closest thing to lifetime RevShare.
CoinLedger pays 25% of every tax report your referral buys, each year they file, with a 15-day cookie and a $30 minimum payout via PayPal. Tax software has natural annual renewals, so one good tax-season article keeps paying.
Coinrule pays 25% of monthly and 30% of annual subscription payments for life, plus a 5% bonus in months your referrals generate more than $2,500. Pushing annual plans pays more.
Two more worth knowing: Cryptohopper pays 10–15% recurring for as long as the user stays subscribed, and Bitsgap pays 30% of subscriptions, but only for 12 months.
How to compare high-commission crypto affiliate programs
Before you pick a program on rate, answer these questions with the terms page open:
- What is the base: gross fees, net fees or "fee profit"? Which trades are excluded?
- How long does commission run, and what ends it early (inactivity, VIP level, a time limit)?
- Which tier will you realistically reach with your current number of active traders?
- Is there a cap per user, per client type or per period?
- How much of your rate will you share as referee cashback to stay competitive?
Then estimate a month of real earnings: active traders × average monthly fees × net-fee ratio × your realistic tier. The program that wins is often not the one with the biggest number. If you also recruit other affiliates, add the second-tier overrides explained in our sub-affiliate programs guide. If your audience is regular users rather than publishers, the user-level offers on our crypto referral programs page may fit better. And browse all crypto exchange affiliate programs for options outside this shortlist.
Frequently asked questions
Which crypto affiliate program pays the highest commission?
By headline rate, MEXC and WEEX advertise up to 70% lifetime revenue share. MEXC's 70% combines referral and sub-affiliate commission, and its portal guide says the rate defaults to 50% if you don't meet upgrade requirements. KuCoin pays up to 60%, and Bitget, BloFin, OKX and Binance up to 50%. The highest rate you can actually hold depends on your traffic volume and number of active traders.
What is the best recurring commission crypto affiliate program?
For exchanges, programs that pay for the lifetime of the referred account include MEXC, Bitget, KuCoin (once you pass its quarterly review), BloFin (after the 3-month assessment) and CEX.IO at a flat 30%. Outside exchanges, CoinLedger pays 25% on every tax report a referral buys, each year, and Coinrule pays 25% of monthly and 30% of annual subscription payments for life.
Is a lifetime RevShare really paid forever?
Only while the referred user keeps paying fees and the account stays linked to you. Bybit can end the relationship if a referral does not trade for 180 consecutive days, OKX reassigns inactive invitees recalled by another channel after 180 days, and Binance stops spot commission once a referee reaches VIP 3. Programs can also change their terms.
Why do I earn less than the advertised percentage?
Usually for three reasons: you sit on a lower tier than the headline, the commission is calculated on net fees after bonuses, vouchers and zero-fee trades, and part of your rate goes back to referees as cashback. Check the commission dashboard against the program's tier table every month.
Do high-commission crypto programs also pay CPA?
Few exchanges do. PrimeXBT offers a one-time CPA of up to $1,500 per qualified client next to its 35–55% RevShare, and YouHodler offers a $150 CPA or 20% RevShare. Read our CPA vs RevShare guide for when each model pays more.
